JAKARTA: The city administration is currently reviewing the plan to build a flyover along Jl. Satrio in South Jakarta.
"We hope to complete the review and analysis by July this year," Fauzi said, as quoted from beritajakarta.com on Thursday.
The street is congested in both directions -- from Tanah Abang in Central Jakarta and Tebet in South Jakarta -- almost everyday. The street hosts several office buildings and shopping centers, including Ambasador mall and ITC Kuningan. The flyover will serve vehicles that only want to pass the area.
Fauzi said he expected construction to start as soon as the analysis was completed, with the flyover completed in 2011.
Last year, Fauzi said the city planned to revamp the area into something like Singapore's Orchard Road. -JP
