Music concert in Madiun turns violent, 1 dead

A local man died and two others were injured after an altercation with a group of unidentified people turned violent Saturday night, shortly after a music concert featuring rock band Slank in Madiun regency, East Java.Tempointeraktif.com reported on Sunday that the man was identified as Sunarko, a spectator who came from Ngawi regency. The group reportedly threw him in to a river, along with his motorcycle. Sunarko’s body is now at the Sayidiman Hospital in Magetan regency.
Dwi Jatmiko and Andik, both residents of Nguntoro Nadi village in Magetan, were wounded in the accident.
“Suddenly, there were some people throwing stones at me and my friends,” Jatmiko said.
Magetan police are investigating the case but have not yet found a motive (ewd).
