Teenage drowned in flood in Kudus

A 13-year-old boy, Agung Dermawan, was found dead in floodwater in Karangturi, Kudus, Central Java, by a search team Friday night.
"Agung was apparently swept away by the current when he was playing in a flooded area with his friends in his village Friday afternoon," Sempong Ferilais, a member of the team, told the Jakarta Post on Saturday.
His body was later taken to his village in Karangdowo, Kaliwungu.
Floods have hit five districts in Kudus. Around 4,000 residents have fled and 1,825 are reportedly trapped. The floods are expected to last at least a week if heavy rainfall continues. (dre)
