Luna longs for action flick

Daughter to an Indonesian father and an Austrian mother, Luna Maya has the stereotypical background for celebrity appeal, but now she has even more to celebrate after enjoying success in the nation's entertainment scene.

From her origins as a model, Luna now lives a life of fame she could never have imagined. After starring in films and scores of television soap operas, she has taken the plunge into comedy.

After ten years in showbiz, Luna Maya has shown what she is made of in her latest movie Asmara Dua Diana (Two Diana's Loves), in which she plays a character named Diana.

With her growing fame and restaurant businesses, Luna has no plans to stop anytime soon.

"It would be great to star in an action film but based on today's industry trends, the popularity lies in chick flicks," she said.
