Five ambulances donated by the Indonesian government and aid organizations were delivered to the Gaza Strip through Rafa, Egypt on Tuesday afternoon local time.

The ambulances, two from the Ministry of Health and the Indonesian Red Crescent Society and the rest from the Mer-C aid organization, were officially handed over by the Palestinian Red Crescent Society, after Egyptian authorities finally allowed the delivery after significant delays.

“We are hoping that this humanitarian aid will help our brothers and sisters in Gaza,” Danang Waskito, spokesman for the Indonesian Embassy in Egypt said, as quoted by the Antara news agency.

Meanwhile, two Indonesian aid missions, from Mer-C and the Red Crescent, have also entered Gaza. (dre)
