The police are looking for Agus Imam Solihin, leader of the Satrio Piningit Weteng Buwono sect because he had advised members to engage in sex orgies, tempointeraktif.com reported Thursday.

“We are tracking down Agus and his associate Putra,” Pasar Minggu Police precinct chief Comr. Maryoto said.

He said the police had questioned five suspects and confiscated photos and pictures from the house in Pasar Minggu, South Jakarta, where the sect members usually gather.

The police raided the house Monday after one of the followers, Ratna, 33, had died the previous week.

Eko, a member, said Agus had stopped some sect members from bringing the ailing Ratna to the hospital for treatment, saying only he, Agus, could cure Ratna’s illness.

He said further some of the 40 members protested against Agus’ decision after the sick man died, at which point Agus fled. (rid)
