A truck driver died Tuesday in Garut, West Java, most likely because of a heart attack after a police officer pulled a gun on him, witnesses told tempointeraktif.com.
"Before he died, he suffered a terrible shock after a policeman pointed a gun at him," said Asep Tarsono, the head of the village where the driver was from, at Hasan Sadikin Hospital in Bandung.
Citing what witnesses had told him, Asep said the truck driver, 46-year-old Ucu, was unloading sand from his truck when a car with policemen in it approached him and told him off harshly for not parking his truck properly.
"Not only that, they punched the truck while one of them pointed a gun right in Ucu's face," Asep said.
Feeling threatened, Asep went on, Ucu moved his car while shaking heavily. He was later taken to a nearby public health center where he died.
The body of the father of six is now at Hasan Sadikin Hospital for an autopsy. The officer who pulled his gun on Ucu has not yet been identified. (and)
