JAKARTA: Audiences may not see actor Jeremy Thomas on television for a long time, but they can soon watch his 9-year-old daughter at the cinema
AKARTA: Audiences may not see actor Jeremy Thomas on television for a long time, but they can soon watch his 9-year-old daughter at the cinema.
Jeremy's daughter, Valerie Thomas, is set to debut in a movie titled King, in which she plays one of the main characters.
"I never pushed her to act; she herself wanted a role in a movie," Jeremy said.
"Now I'm very proud because she can make her dream come true."
Ina Indayanti, Jeremy's wife, said Valerie still enjoyed exploring many different options.
"She just tried many things, like joining vocal and ballet classes. She often got roles in drama performances at her school," Ina said.
"I always told Valerie to slow down. I said, *you're still 9 years old; take your time because you might miss your childhood."
Jeremy and Ina said they always supported the decisions made by Valerie for the sake of her emotional growth.
They said they could not wait to go to the cinema to watch Valerie's debut in King.
King is an edutainment movie that was inspired by the spirit of Indonesian badminton legend Liem Swie King.
The movie is produced by actor Ari Sihasale's production house Alenia Pictures.
