ANGERANG: The acting mayor of South Tangerang (Tangsel) city, Muhammad Shaleh, said Thursday he would orders repairs on several roads in the newly established municipality.
"The Tangsel administration has asked for a *fund* allocation from the Banten and Tangerang administrations to develop and improve roads," Shaleh said as quoted by Antara.
He added Tangsel should have main thoroughfares in Pamulang, Ciputat and East Ciputat with a standard 14-meter width for two lanes.
He said his administration was calculating the cost of repairing damaged roads throughout the city. The administration is slated to receive Rp 3 billion (US$260,000) for the project, Shaleh said.
Recent reports show there are several damaged roads in Pamulang, Ciputat, Serpong and Setu.
