I would like to comments on the rejection by the United States. Embassy in Jakarta of four of the 16 students from the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) accepted to the Harvard National Model United Nations (HNMUN) in Boston when they applied for visas.
How come the United States Embassy rejected the visas? It is ridiculous if the reason was due to their names being too Islamic.
Come on, do not discriminate against people because of their religion! Embrace a pluralistic attitude by treating people as human beings! If you believe in democracy, you should give them visas. Otherwise, you are just being arrogant.
