Police arrest fake transportation officers

JAKARTA: On Monday, Jakarta Police crime division chief Comr. M. Iriawan said they arrested three men for posing as transportation agency officers and extorting money from truck drivers.

The men took money from truck drivers passing along Babelan, Bekasi.

One of the suspects, Nasir, said they got the uniform from a real transportation agency officer, named Supriyadi.

"We paid Rp 200,000 to buy the clothes. And we had to pay Rp 25,000 per day to Pak Supriyadi," Nasir said, as quoted by detik.com.

The men also have agency officer cards signed by the Bekasi Transportation Agency head. -JP
