JAKARTA: The Australian government still believes the security situation in Indonesia, as well as in Pakistan, Timor Leste, Angola, Algeria and 13 other countries, remains unsafe for its citizens.
This was indicated in a level-four travel advisory issued Wednesday by the Australian Foreign Affairs and Trade Department, Antara news agency reported.
Under the level-four advisory, Australian citizens are advised to reconsider any travel plans to the 18 affected countries due to terrorism and other security risks.
A level-four travel warning is one level short of a total travel ban.
Australia has so far issued travel bans for Afghanistan, Burundi, the Central African Republic, Chad, Iraq, Somalia, Sudan and Zimbabwe. -JP
