More missing victims of Thousand Islands boat collision found

A joint search and rescue team (SAR) on Tuesday found the remains of three crew members of the KM Rimba 3 cargo ship which collided with the Harapan Indah 7 tugboat in the Thousand Islands five days earlier, tempointeraktif.com reports.
The team discovered the bodies at 1:10 p.m. on the lower deck of the cargo ship, SAR Jakarta chief Dadang Arkuni said Tuesday.
“We have had difficulties removing the remains because they are swollen, and we are looking for the best way to get them off the ship,” Dadang said.
The team had yet to identify the names of all those involved in the incident, and another four victims had yet to be found, he added.
The cargo ship was carrying 13 crew members when it collided with the tugboat on its way from Tanjung Priok, Jakarta, to Medan. (ewd)
