President on working visit to South Sulawesi

President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono is scheduled to arrive at Hasanuddin Air Force Airbase in Makassar, South Sulawesi, at 10:50 a.m. local time (11:55 a.m. Jakarta time) for a one-day visit to the province.During the visit, the president, who is accompanied by First Lady Ani Yudhoyono, will officially launch several construction projects, including an opening of the provinces' trade and industry promotion center.
Yudhoyono is also to officially give Rp 466.2 billion (US$40 million) for projects under the National Community Empowerment Program (PNPM) in 24 regencies and mayoralties in the province.
On Thursday evening the president will meet with members of the regional leaders' forums and top provincial figures.
Yudhoyono will leave Makassar on Friday morning for another visit in South Kalimantan. (dre)
