CILACAP, Central Java: The results of an audit by the Central Java Development Finance Comptroller (BPKP) this past week found the state incurred losses of Rp 2 billion in a land acquisition project for a power station.
The project was handled by Cilacap regency secretary Suprihono.
Cilacap Prosecutor's Office head M. Yamin told reporters the BPKP had reported the finding to his office, which would follow up on it.
"We have sent a letter to ask for a detailed report on the BPKP audit. We know about the audit report, but not in detail," Yamin said Friday.
He added the BPKP found the state had suffered the losses through land procurement deals f or the Bunton power plant project.
The money was meant to be paid to state power company PT PLN, which would carry out the project, and for the land acquisition. -JP
