The Balikpapan district prosecutors' office has summoned M. Yamin, head of the province's Industrial, Trade and Cooperatives Agency, over the alleged embezzlement of Rp 200 million (US$16,800) from his institution.

“We have sent our second summons for a questioning next week,” office head Mansyur Zaini, told tempointeraktif.com on Thursday.

Yamin failed to answer the first summon citing an out of town duty, he said.

District prosecutors suspect Yamin skimmed up to 10 percent from reimbursements paid for trips made by his subordinates. He is also suspected of being involved in the embezzlement of funds from the agency's 2008 budget funds. (dre)
