Megawati meets PPP for presidential talks

Chairwoman of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI-P) Megawati Soekarnoputri met with several figures from the United Development Party (PPP) on Thursday to present her vision if she wins the presidency in July's election.

According to kompas.com, Megawati arrived at the PPP's office at 1:35 p.m in Central Jakarta, and was welcomed by party chairman Suryadharma Ali.

PDI-P leaders including Chief Advisor Taufik Kiemas, Secretary-General Pramono Anung and Chief for Women's Empowerment Puan Maharani attended the forum.

During the forum, PPP Mendengar, or PPP Listens, Megawati answered questions on her plans and strategies as a president from two panelists: Fachry Ali and Bambang Brodjonegoro. (ewd)
