nsp. Dewa Wijaya, Chief Detective of the Tangerang regency police confirmed Wednesday that officers had arrested two suspects in the kidnapping of 8-year-old Richie Victor Hantanto.

The boy was allegedly kidnapped by his family's former housemaid on Monday.

Dewa however said that the two other suspects owned of a Bank Mandiri account to which Victor's parents were asked to transfer a ransom of Rp 25 million (US$2100) to.

"We are still looking for Soraya, the housemaid," he said.

Serpong Police detective Insp. Yuldi Yusman said the police were still questioning the two suspects.

Soraya was allegedly the main actor in the kidnapping and the preliminary results of questioning showed the motive behind the crime was financial.

He said the kidnappers sent Richie home by a taxi after the parents transferred the Rp 25 million in to the account.

Meanwhile, Richie's father Andi Hantanto said that he will leave all legal matters of the case up to the police. The kidnapping left his son, the younger brother of celebrity Leony Fitria Hartanti, in a state of shock.

"Richie is still a little bit traumatized after the kidnaping. He always cries when we asked about the incident and he is still reluctant to go to school," he said by phone, adding that he had asked the police to crack down on all suspects involved in the case.

Richie was abducted from his school, Atila elementary school.

Leony said she arrived at the school at 2:30 pm to pick up Richie, who usually finishes classes at 2 p.m., but she found that her younger brother was no longer there.

According to Leony, a teacher said a woman, matching the description of Soraya, had picked him up.

Leony then called up Soraya, who said Richie was with her. The housemaid asked for Rp 25 million in ransom, to be transferred to the Bank Mandiri account. Soraya was recently fired for stealing valuables.

A similar case occurred in Bukit Pamulang housing complex last month.

Alivardo, 2, was kidnapped by Rohma, who had worked as a housemaid for the couple for just three hours.
