City call center on alert during Nyepi

DENPASAR: The call center managed by the Denpasar municipal administration will remain operational during Nyepi, which falls on Thursday, city spokesman I Made Erwin Suryadharma said Tuesday.

"The call center is on call for emergency cases such as diseases or natural disasters, as part of the Denpasar Disaster Management Agency's readiness," he said.

The call center can be reached at 0361-223333 or through Denpasar Municipal Administration Radio (RPKD) at 0361-244444.

"We will have ambulances and fire engines on standby at four posts for any case of emergency," he said.

The posts are the Juanda post at the eastern end of Puputan Margarana Square in Renon, Merpati post near the West Denpasar district office, the Ubung post near Ubung Bus Terminal and the command post at the agency's office. - JP
