Hasan Tiro return to Aceh to witness elections

Former supreme leader of the now defunct Free Aceh Movement (GAM) Hasan Tiro has returned to Aceh to monitor political campaigns in the province in the run up to the general elections on April 9.
Indonesian Ambassador to Malaysia Dai Bactiar told state news agency
Antara on Saturday that Hasan traveled through Malaysia on March 31 prior departing for Aceh on the next day.
Dai said during his brief transit in Kuala Lumpur Tiro met with several representatives from the embassy.
“But we did not invite him to the embassy as he was on personal business,” he said. (ewd)
