JAKARTA: Johar Baru Police chief, Comr. Theresia Mastail will be summoned for questioning by the Jakarta Police's internal affairs division, an officer said Tuesday.
Sr. Comr. Erwin Hasibuan confirmed Theresia would be called in.
"The questioning is scheduled for after the legislative elections," he said.
The move come after Erwin's office received reports Theresia had implemented harsh punishment for officers caught smoking at the precinct office.
One officer was made to do 500 push-ups, leading to his hospitalization.
Theresia also allegedly levied fines of Rp 100,000 to Rp 500,000, deducted from officers' salaries. - JP
