A Thai official says the morning meetings among Asian leaders were delayed for "reasons of safety" as thousands of anti-government protesters massed around the summit venue.
The red-shirted protesters swarmed the hilltop conventional hall for a second day Saturday. They are calling for the resignation of Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva.
Three meetings have been put off between the 10-member Association of Southeast Asian Nations and China, Japan and South Korea.
The summit brings together leaders from 16 Asian nations.
