DENPASAR: Police confiscated a total of 930 grams of marijuana from two dealers after nabbing one of them at the Ground Zero monument, a popular tourist site in Kuta.
The arrest was made late March but police only announced it Tuesday.
Bali Police Narcotics Division chief Sr. Comr. Kokot Indarto said an undercover officer posing as a prospective buyer succeeded in making contact with one suspect, identified only as SI, 25. The officer later set up a phony transaction with him.
SI said he received the marijuana from HO, who lived in South Denpasar.
"A small roll of marijuana was sold at Rp 200,000 *US$17.70*," Kokot said, adding the suspects claimed all the marijuana had been transported from Jakarta by SG, who is currently at large. - JP
