JAKARTA: To prevent another accident during the city-run Car-Free Day, the City Environmental Management Agency (BPLHD) said it would soon revise the event's standard of procedures.
BPLHD head Peni Susanti said the revision would include a request to add more lane dividers and markers for operating public buses.
On Sunday, 5-year-old Hari Ardiansyah died in a Car-Free Day event on Jl Letjen. Soeprapto, Central Jakarta, after a speeding Mayasari Bakti bus hit Hari who crossed the road to chase his ball.
"We will apply the new procedures not only *during the Car-Free Day* in Central Jakarta, but in all parts of the city," Peni said, as quoted by beritajakarta.com. - JP
