JAKARTA: State oil and gas company PT Pertamina has raised the prices of high-octane fuels Pertamax and Pertamax Plus by Rp 100 (0.92 US cents) due to rising international crude prices.
The increase took effect Wednesday and applied to all regions across Indonesia, said spokesman Anang Rizkani Noor.
"The prices were increased because the international crude price is rising. The increase is not that high, though, as our currency is stronger now," he said.
In Greater Jakarta, Pertamax has increased from Rp 5,900 to Rp 6,000 per liter, and Pertamax Plus from Rp 6,500 to Rp 6,600 per liter.
Pertamax and Pertamax Plus are two non-subsidized fuels sold by Pertamina. - JP
