JAKARTA: In anticipation of a possible outbreak of the Singaporean flu, the Jakarta health agency has requested all arrivals to the city to be medically screened.
"We are working together with every medical facility and hospital around airports and seaports. Anyone arriving in Jakarta must have themselves checked before passing through," Jakarta Health Agency Chief Tini Suryanti said, as quoted by detik.com on Thursday.
The city has been on alert for a possible outbreak of Singaporean flu, also known as hand, foot and mouth disease (HFMD), after a case was recently found in Depok, south of Jakarta. - JP
