Large quantity of marijuana seized

DENPASAR: Police have arrested an alleged marijuana dealer after raiding his house and finding 0.595 kilograms of marijuana, an official said Friday.

The suspect, identified only as I Pt ASP, 21, was arrested in a house on Jl. Danau Tempe in South Denpasar.

He was charged with violating Article 78 of Law No.22/1997 on narcotics.

If proven guilty, he could face a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison.

Denpasar Police spokesman Comr. Ketut Suwetra, said the ready-to-sell marijuana was arranged in 14 separate packages. -JP
