he Culture and Tourism Ministry of the Republic of Indonesia is providing its continuing support to Komodo National Park as Indonesia's national nominee in the second phase of the New7Wonders of Nature Campaign organized by the New7Wonders Foundation.

These votes were collected during Deep & Extreme Indonesia 2009 exhibition from March 27-29. During the exhibition, visitors showed great enthusiasm in supporting and voting for Komodo National Park to become one of the New7Wonders of Nature.
Komodo National Park is currently in 12th position (the list was last updated on April 6, 2009) among 55 other nominees in Group F. In the second round of the campaign there are 261 nominees from 222 nations. These nominees are divided into 7 groups, as follows:
(A) Landscapes / Ice Formations (B) Islands (C) Mountains / Volcanoes (D) Caves / RockFormations / Valleys (E) Forests / National Parks / Nature Reserves (F) Lakes / Rivers / Waterfalls, and (G) Seascapes.
For those who have and email account and who have not yet cast their votes at the www.new7wonders.com website to support Komodo National, now is definitely the right time. It takes less than 5 minutes to submit a vote and support our national nominees.
