SAR team finds debris of ill-fated plane in Papua

A Search and Rescure (SAR) team from Timika, Papua, found the debris of the ill-fated Pilatus Potter aircraft at Mount Sinak Friday morning.

After the finding, a SAR join team, with support from PT Freeport Indonesia emergency response team, was dispatched to the location. 

The plane, belonging to Mimika administration, was flying from Ilaga to Mulia in Puncak Jaya regency, carring 10 passengers, including Myanmarese pilot Ni Linn Aung and copilot Makmur Susanto.

The other eight passengers included secretary of Puncak Jaya polling body Martin Jitmau, chairman of the local election supervisory committee Herman Senanfi and church minister Martina Kiwak.

All the ten passengers were presumed dead.
