Your comments on the demand from a number of politicians to repeat the legislative elections, after claims that millions of people were disenfranchised.
Repeating the election would not be a wise step because it would make the government spend too much money to organize it. What the government should do now is to ensure that the upcoming presidential election runs well.

We should have a reelection. On some conditions though, no more stupid ads or worthless campaigns, and get rid of those parties which use religion. Why? We need better, clean, and just government. Not one who can only practice their religion.

From the election's result, it's clear to see that Indonesian people actually prefer to look at the figure, not the programs of a party that usually are full of cheats and empty words.

Yes, the current KPU is incompetent and should resign, but the April 9 election should not be repeated. Who can guarantee that a repetition would mean a significant improvement?
Not with this KPU team in charge, anyway. The proverb says "a donkey will not fall into the same ditch twice", so why should we?

No, the losing political parties are just a kind of those who can't accept their defeat, it is the voters right to decide whether they want to be apathetic and abstain from voting.

The April 9 legislative election was certainly badly organized. Six out of 12 people in my family were deprived of their voting rights. No need to repeat the elections, because the voting process itself was all right.
Even it was repeated, the quality of preparations would not improve. Notwithstanding the fact that the KPU has done their utmost, the result is just as shown. It is the maximum result of our organizational skill.

I think the legislative elections should not be repeated because it will cost more and take more time. But the KPU must solve the problem before it carries out the presidential election.

This is the worst election I've ever known. Many people weren't listed, ballot papers were wrong; many regions are holding revotes. I think the vote counting process will take longer than usual.
And, as usual, when something bad happens, like what happened in Gintung, the government always plays the blame game. Let's say everyone thinks KPU is the one to blame, but it's not only KPU, it's the ministry of home affairs mistakes as well.
The KPU is a part of our corrupt government. How much money and energy would we spend? And there would be no guarantee that if the election is repeated it will satisfy everyone too.
This is the lesson that we must learn and I hope the KPU can prepare the upcoming presidential election more professionally.

The real power won't be with the major leaders but the smart, small group that control the balance of votes in the house. Let's hope they are good people.

Repeat the election? No way! It's not worth it! Besides it was not the mistake of SBY nor the KPU. Just learn that the Election Day should not fall at the beginning of a long weekend! Many of our people are not that keen to vote; leaving the boredom at home for the crowd at the beaches thereby leaving the polling stations waiting for them.
Even not being listed with the DPT, a voter can still be accepted as long as one can show an Iden-tity Card. So, what is really the problem?
The problem is mostly with many of us who are not cooperative! Later we conveniently blame the KPU before the latter has the chance to blame us for not being participative. How stupid!

Repeat the election! The KPU claims that inaccuracy of the voter lists was because the government provided the commission with outdated citizenship data.

Obviously the election should be repeated for those who could not cast votes because they're not registered on the voter lists. The KPU have raped people's political rights. Don't just regret by thinking why these problems could have happened; instead the KPU should arrange a reelection whenever possible.
For the winning parties, please don't be selfish by just thinking how to avoid these problems in the upcoming president election. Although the government has no authority to intervene in the KPU's business, the government should offer a solution to the KPU.
For SBY and his cabinet, please don't just think about how to win the upcoming presidential election. You have to protect people's political rights.
