JAKARTA: Esther Thanak and Dara Veranita, two city prosecutors suspected of selling Ecstasy pills confiscated by the North Jakarta District Court, returned to the Jakarta Police headquarters for another round of questioning Tuesday.
Police narcotics division chief Comr. Kristian Siagian confirmed their arrival at police headquarters, but refused to divulge the details of the questioning, saying only that "they arrived at 9 a.m.".
Esther and Dara are suspected of stealing and attempting to sell 343 Ecstasy pills confiscated by the court in March, and were questioned by the police.
The investigation nearly ground to a halt after the Jakarta High Court refused to extend their 40-day detention, with Esther and Dara attempting to skip their obligatory summons to the police to report on their activities twice already. -JP
