Your comments on the separation of Vice President Jusuf Kalla (JK) and President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono in the July presidential election after the Golkar Party decided to nominate JK as its presidential candidate.
I do not agree with them because several politicians only think about their own opportunities and they do not have sincere attitudes.

The Golkar way paves the way for SBY to secure his second presidency. This time he will make sure the KPK will be able to complete their job thoroughly.
We need the Golkar Party and the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI-P) to provide the checks and balances to keep the Democratic Party on the right track in improving the nation.
We, the people, must have learnt by now how to improve ourselves through proper voting.
Let us start creating jobs by paying attention to the Indonesian aircraft maker (PTDI), the Indonesian shipbuilder (PAL), the Indonesian arms manufacturer (PINDAD) and the like.
Most commercial roads in Sumatra and Sulawesi are in a terrible state of disrepair, as are those in Kalimantan, Java and Papua.
The Indonesian logistics agency (Bulog) and the Village Cooperative Organization (KUD) are badly needed now.

Both SBY and JK still have a few months left to accomplish their 2004-2009 promises. But I don't expect that much from them, since they'll be so busy competing with each other for the presidential seat.

For me, Jusuf Kalla may become the hero of Indonesia if he can change the behavior of the Indonesian people to become real Indonesians - not imitators of both Arabian and European cultures.
Our leaders' weakness is that they ignore original Indonesian traditions and prefer to pick those from Arabian or European countries. President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono is better than other leaders, but he is weak in facing up to Muslim hard-liners.

If Vice President JK does not partner with SBY, it will be difficult for him to become the President. It is better for Kalla to become Vice President, not President because SBY's leadership qualities are better than Kalla's.
Kalla may want to become President, but I am afraid he will be easily defeated by SBY.
I wish Kalla could be Vice President again for SBY. They are suitable partners.
