SBY to send son to TIME dinner

JAKARTA: President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono's youngest son Eddy Baskoro will represent his father in New York on May 5 at a gala dinner hosted by TIME Magazine, which has included Yudhoyono in its 2009 100 Most Influential People in the World.
The list of the 100 most prominent global figures is available on TIME's recent printed edition published on May 1.
Eddy will be accompanied by presidential spokesman Dino Patti Djalal at the dinner which will be attended by other figures on the list, as well as those included in the magazine's previous most-influential lists.
"The President thanks TIME Magazine for the honor and sees this not as his mere personal achievement, but also as an appreciation to Indonesia's recent achievement and transformation," Dino said in a press statement in Jakarta on Friday.
"Due to his tight domestic schedule, the President cannot attend the gala dinner and will be represented by his son," he added. - JP
