After grilling the Corruption Eradication Commission chief Antasari Azhar for six hours today as a witness in the murder case of the director of a state-owned company, the Jakarta Police finally announced him the latest suspect in the case.
The city's Police chief Wahyono said that the police’s six-hour investigation had gone over the suspect's role in the murder of Nasrudin Zulkarnaen, a director of PT Putra Rajawali Banjaran.
"All the information we have gathered from all the suspects has pointed to AA's involvement," he told reporters on Monday.
Wahyono, however, refused to explain the motive behind the murder or the relationship between Antasari and the other eight suspects, saying that the police investigation was still underway.
The police have yet to decide whether or not they will detain Antasari after the questioning session.
Nasrudin died on March 15 from gunshot wounds he sustained in a drive-by shooting that took place a day earlier as he left the Modernland golf course in Tangerang.
