INDONESIA: Indonesian Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) chief Anwar Nasution was in Morocco from April 29 to May 3 for a bilateral meeting and the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the two countries' audit agencies, the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

The MOU was signed on April 30 by Nasution and his Moroccan counterpart, Mohammed Ahmed El Midaoui, as president of the Moroccan Court of Accounts.

"The purpose of this MOU is to enhance bilateral relations and to build up cooperation between Indonesia and Morocco in the field of public sector auditing," the ministry said.

The memorandum, which enables both countries to share information on public sector auditing through consultations, seminars and conferences, will be valid for two years and will be extended for another two years if considered beneficial. - JP
