Concerned over a case implicating the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) chairman Antasari Azhar, rock band Slank came to the commission building on Monday to show its support.
“This is fantastic support from Slank because they are the first [public figures] to come to the KPK to show their support,” KPK deputy chairman for prevention Eko Tjiptadi told a conference here on Monday.
Slank, with members Kaka, Bimbim, Ridho, Abdee and Ivan, arrived at the commission with their manager, Bunda Ifet.
“The fight against corruption shall continue with or without Antasari,” Slank’s drummer Bimbim said.
Last week the public were shocked by the news that Antasari might be among the masterminds behind the murder of state-owned company director Nasruddin Zulkarnaen, who was shot in a drive-by shooting that took place as he left Modernland golf course in Tangerang.
Antasari was summoned by the Jakarta Police to be questioned as a witness Monday.
