Rice for the people

An officer of the local state logistics firm Bulog in Malang, East Java on Tuesday checks the documentation of the rice stocks to be distributed to the poor this year. The Bulog office in Malang recorded 40,353 tons of rice from the harvest earlier this year. The office is planning to buy a total of 60,000 tons of unhusked rice from local farmers in 2009.
