JAKARTA: Slank visited the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) on Monday to reaffirm its support for the commission’s work after KPK chief Antasari Azhar was temporarily relieved from
his duties.

“Slank was the first guest who came to support the KPK,” said KPK deputy chief for preventive affairs Eko Ciptadi, as quoted by Antara.

Slank’s members — Bimbim, Kaka, Ridho, Abdee and Ivan — came to the KPK office with their manager Bunda Iffet.

Bimbim said the group continues to support the commission’s corruption eradication efforts.

However, Bimbim also expressed fear anti-KPK elements would interfere in Azhar’s investigation
in connection with the murder of a state enterprise director.

The KPK leadership temporarily relieved Antasari from his duties to enable him to concentrate on the murder trial.

Antasari went to the Jakarta police headquarters on Monday for questioning as a witness in the murder case of Nasruddin Zulkarnaen, who was a director of state firm PT Putra Rajawali Banjaran. — JP
