The Attorney General’s Office will assign a team of prosecutors from the Banten Prosecutors' Office to handle the murder case of Nasruddin Zulkarnaen, a former director of a state-owened company.

Attorney General Hendarman Supandji told reportersThursday that he had received a letter of request a day earlier from the police for a case prosecution.

“We will assign prosecutors of the Banten Office to handle the case since the murder took place in Tangerang, Banten."

On March 14, a group of unknown gunmen shot Nasruddin, director of PT Putra Rajawali Banjaran at Modern Land Golf Area in Cikokol, Tangerang.

The police have named nine as suspects and put them in jail for their allegedly involvement in the case. Among those named suspects is AGO's former director of prosecution and current chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Antasari Azhar. (ewd)
