The General Election Commission (KPU) on Monday released its existing electoral roll to be used for the upcoming presidential election in all district offices across the country,
Antara state news wire reports.
KPU member Syamsulbahri said his office would make the lists available until Sunday, and asked the public to help check that their names were present.
“Over the next seven days we expect public to respond … and report to the appropriate offices if they find any duplications of voter names or unknown voter identities,” Syamsulbahri said.
Previously, the KPU had opened complaint centres for the public to use if they couldn’t find themselves on an electoral roll. So far, 447 residents have reported to the KPU and their details have now been added to the electoral roll for the upcoming election. (ewd)
