TANGERANG: The murder case of former PT Putra Rajawali Banjaran director Nasruddin Zulkarnaen, in which the Corruption Eradication Commission chairman Antasari Azhar is implicated, will be tried at the Tangerang District Court, prosecutors confirmed Monday.
"We are waiting for the Jakarta Police to transfer the dossiers and the suspects to the Banten Prosecutor's Office," Dondy K. Sudirmanm, head of the office said Monday.
Dondy said the hearings would be held in Tangerang as the crime occurred in Tangerang municipality.
Dondy emphasized his office would treat all suspects in the case the same as any other criminals, including Antasari.
Police have named nine suspects in the murder case, including Sigid Haryo Wibisono, president commissioner of PT Pers Indonesia Merdeka, and Sr. Comr. Williardi Wizar, a former South Jakarta police chief.
The real motive behind the murder remains unclear. Some believe the murder was triggered by a love affair involving Antasari and Nasruddin's third wife, Rani Juliani, who works at the Modernland golf course. Nasruddin was killed in a drive-by shooting on March 14. - JP
