Ryan's ex walks free after 10 months in jail

BOGOR: Novel Andrias, who was sentenced to 10 months in jail for concealing a murder by his ex-boyfriend Verry "Ryan" Idam Henyansyah, was released from Bogor's Paledang Correctional Institution on Wednesday morning.
Through his lawyer, Zulkarnaini, Novel said he would return to his job at the Immigration Office.
"He got a suspension, not a dismissal, so he will return to his old job," Zulkarnaini told kompas.com.
Depok District Court handed down the verdict on Dec. 1, 2008. Novel was sentenced to 10 months in jail including the time he spent in detention during the trial.
The panel of judges found Novel guilty of enjoying the goods Ryan had bought using the credit card of the murder victim, Heri Santoso. - JP
