Deflation hits Denpasar

DENPASAR: Denpasar experienced 0.6 percent deflation due to the decreasing pricing index of a number of goods and commodities.
According to Komang Wisnu, the head of the Bali Statistics Bureau, there were 66 cities observed during April.
The bureau found 50 cities, including Denpasar, suffered from deflation.
His office also revealed the decreasing price indexes of 75 types of goods, which included processed food, cigarettes and textiles. - JP
