The Directorate General of Customs and Excise at the Finance Ministry revealed Sunday that a police officer from the West Jakarta Police office might have been implicated in the counterfeit levy stamp printing operation busted by the customs office Sunday early morning.
Director General of Customs and Excise Anwar Supriyadi said the main suspect told investigators that Adj. Comr Mahfudin from the West Jakarta Police office assisted the operation of their illegal business in Slipi, West Jakarta.
However, Comr. Sujudi Ario Seto, head of the West Jakarta Police's detective unit, said that Adj. Comr. Mahfudin was not from the West Jakarta police office.
“100 percent is not (from West Jakarta Police office). He is not our personnel," Sujudi told tempointeraktif.com
