The trial of the Bank Indonesia quartet has been delayed until next
Tuesday as one of the defendants, Maman Soemantri, is sick.
"Defendant Maman Soemantri is having health problems and a doctor is checking him," prosecutor Rudi Margono told the Corruption Court.
The court was schedules to hear Tuesday testimony of four former BI deputy governors: Maman, Bun Bunan EJ Hutapea, Aslim Tadjuddin and father in law of President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono's eldest son, Aulia Pohan.
The four are being tried for allegedly approving the disbursement of Rp 100 billion (US$9.7 million) from the bank's Indonesian Banking Development Foundation (YPPI) in 2003.
"Since one of the defendants cannot attend today's trial, the hearing will be delayed until next Tuesday at 10 a.m.," presiding judge Kresna Menon said.
