JAKARTA: Burglars broke into the residence of the former minister of Justice and Human Rights, Yusril Ihza Mahendra, in Kuningan, South Jakarta, in the wee hours of Friday morning, stealing a large sum of money.
They apparently got away Rp 70.6 million in cash (US$6,418), two cell phones and one digital camera.
"They broke into my house through a window while we were sleeping," Yusril said as quoted by vivanews.com.
Yusril first realized the theft had occurred at 9 a.m..
Detectives of South Jakarta Police said the thieves had entered the house through a window on the second floor, and had exited through the same window. - JP.
