An Indonesian migrant worker working as a domestic helper died in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia on Saturday evening after sustaining severe injuries to her head and body tempointeraktif.com reported on Sunday.
The Malaysian police have so far detained two of the victim's employers, a sibling pair, for questioning.
"We have detained the siblings on suspicion of their involvement in acts that led to the victim's death. We suspect they abused her," Petaling Jaya police officer Arjunaidi Mohamed said, adding that the police suspected abuse was the cause of the maid's death.
The case came to light when one of the employers called a Kuala Lumpur hospital asking for medical assistance.
According to tempointeraktif.com, when the paramedics arrived, they found the victim to have died.
"That maid had only worked there for two months," Arjunaidi said.
He added the siblings had shared a house with their father, who is an invalid.

Hopefully my lack of faith is misplaced but the Indonesian Embassy in Malaysia won't prosecute these two "siblings" to the fullest of either the Indonesian Laws or Malaysian Laws. What alot of malaysians forget is that even though they steal alot of our culture and call it thier own, destroy our land for palm oil fields, abuse the migrant workers physically (such as the case above) and economically (allowing them to work till the project is 99% done, then finding a reason to kick them all out before paying them), thier country depend on us more then them. Hopefully the next president will remind Malaysia that they depend on us for many things.
