Denpasar launches PKK website

DENPASAR: Catching up to the global world, the Denpasar municipal administration has launched a website dedicated to the city's Family Welfare Movement (PKK). The web address is http://pkk.denpasarkota.go.id.
Head of the Denpasar PKK, I.G.A. Selly Dharmawijaya Mantra, said the website was designed to provide information and data, especially about the PKK's 10 main programs, as well as provide other public services.
"Through the website, people can also share their experiences or problems with the PKK in other parts of the country," she said, adding the program was part of supporting Denpasar to become a "Creative City".
Selly further said the Denpasar PKK had been chosen as a role model for other regions promoting the PKK's main programs through information technology (IT).
"Gradually, we would also like to educate people on the importance of IT, especially for housewives," she said.
Unfortunately, the Denpasar PKK's website has yet to be filled with any information. A brief visit to the site shows that it only features the logo of the Denpasar municipal administration and a list of several websites operated by the city's agencies. - JP
