The General Elections Commission (KPU) has decided to delay the official launch of the presidential election campaign season, from June 2 to June 10, citing time constraints for necessary preparations.
“All presidential hopefuls can begin campaigning on Tuesday despite that the official launch has been suspended,” KPU member I Gusti Putu Artha said as quoted by kompas.com.
Gusti also denied accusations that the KPU had delayed the launch on a request from the presidential palace. (ewd)
