KPU determines candidates' election numbers

The General Election Commission (KPU) ratified the presidential and vice presidential candidates' electoral numbers during a draw at the KPU office in Central Jakarta on Saturday.

The presidential candidate of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI-P), Megawati Sukarnoputri, and her running mate, Prabowo Subianto of the Greater Indonesian Movement Party (Gerindra), will be represented by the electoral number 1.

Incumbent President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) of the Democratic Party (PD) and his running mate Boediono will be represented by the number 2.

Meanwhile, the Golkar Party's Jusuf Kalla, and Wiranto of the People's Conscience Party (Hanura) will use number 3 as their electoral code. (hdt)
